A night time walk by lantern light through the life of a 1894 farm family of Alachua County, Florida. A glimpse of conversations, the work, the plans, hopes and happenings during that time.
Actors, re-enactors will depict, through speech, dress and mannerisms, Sharecroppers, Travelers and Horse Traders. Family and neighbors will be conducting business and visiting in the Store. The farmhouse Front Porch was an active place to socialize, and here two men talk about the “bank panic”, other timely events, politics, etc. In the Parents Room, the young, busy parents talk of family, business and their plans. In the Kitchen while visiting and preparing a meal, women enjoy a lively talk including how times are changing. There will be seven ’stops’ (highlighted above) lasting approx. 5 minutes each, and each tour will last about 50 min. There will be12 tours of 10 participants. The first tour starts at 6pm and last tour starts at 8:45pm. Please arrive 15 min before the start of your tour.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children 7 and under. ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. TWILIGHT WALK PERFORMANCES WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE.

See how fields were plowed for the spring plantings. See different types of field plows and antique tractors. These antique tractors are a display of farming equipment and a way of life circa 1930’s and 1940’s, a reflection of rural American history. Observe, as the participants work the land plowing and disking. Volunteers in period clothing will be at the farmstead demonstrating period crafts and interpreting the farms history.

Food truck "Eddie Q" will be here with his "classic" barbeque.
