History is Alive

Step back in time to feel what it's like to plow a field, plant a crop, bring the harvest in, mark the changes of seasons, and, like three generations of Dudley's, call a place "home."

Commissary 2

Our New Heritage Nursery

With the vision of our CSO (Friends of Dudley Farm) past president, Art Wade, this project began in earnest in Feb 2016.  It is now complete with three 40 foot plant tables and a worktable area covered with a metal canopy. We grow heritage plants from the original Dudley gardens, and also many species of Florida native plants.  Plants are sold at our gift shop, "The Commissary".   Call 352-472-1142 for information on Commissary hours.

Thinking about a romantic wedding site?

Look no further than Dudley Farm Historic State Park

                                    wedding 4 23 16 1

Moss draped live oaks, antique roses and historic buildings inspire visions of old Florida. The old farmstead is now known for its collection of buildings, family effects and heirloom farm animals; portraying a rustic part of Florida.

With plenty of open space your wedding can be as lavish as tents set up with silk covered tables, candelabras and romance inspired themes. Or as simple as standing underneath one of our majestic oaks with a bouquet in hand surrounded by your loved ones.
